Purpose of UDISE Plus system (Unified District Information System for Education)
The primary purpose of UDISE Plus is data collection from all learning institutions. The information helps the government plan and implement policies suiting each school. Registered schools get proper infrastructure, training for the faculty, and services based on data presented to the Ministry. UDISE Plus also helps monitor education and cover all gaps in the system.
UDISE Code
The Ministry of Education provides all registered schools under the UDISE program with a unique 11-digit code. The code is generated once and cannot be shared, meaning it is permanent to all schools. UDISE code represents the school cycle from the opening to closing dates. Every cycle is designed with the following details:

- Amendment in school
- Changes in UDISE status
- School closure.

Steps to register on the UDISE Plus platform
Once the school meets the required details by the Ministry, they can register using simple steps as follows:
- Using the link https://www.udiseplus.gov.in/#/home
- Open various options, including the SDMS portal.
- Go to the “Registration” option to avail new registration window.
- Fill in mandatory data and review for any mistakes.
- A guideline sheet will show; click the “continue” tab and tick the “I agree” section.
- Provide an active mobile number and email ID.
- The user will receive an OTP, verify the details, and complete the registration.

Data Entry on the UDISE Portal: School heads can enter different school data through the data entry section on the UDISE Plus page as follows:
- Open the UDISE website and press the login button.
- Next, input your credentials to land on the dashboard.
- Proceed to the “Data entry” page and follow the guidelines provided.
How to Avail School Report Card
- Open the UDISE Plus portal and head to the “School Report Card” section.
- Two options, namely:
- Search by Name
- Search by UDISE code.
- Pick one option to generate the school report.
- Next, download the report in pdf.
